Just announced: Dean Wareham plays Galaxie 500 at the Hemlock Tavern

During their brief four-year run, the much-adored Galaxie 500 pioneered a dynamic, Velvets-updating dream pop sound, traces of which can be heard in new bands over two decades later. The good folks at the Hemlock Tavern just announced two May 11th shows featuring Dean Wareham performing Galaxie 500 songs in the Hemlock's intimate room. Wareham will be accompanied by Britta Phillips and Anthony LaMarca for both sets (7:30pm, 10:30pm, $20, 21+), which are on sale right now. You can stream In Between in full at Noisey, and I'd highly suggest taking it for a spin.
