Before everyone jets off for the holidays, I want to draw your attention back to the Bay Area and this new(ish — I’ve been distracted by baking and buying) track from Oakland’s Sun Kin.

As Sun Kin, Oakland musician Kabir Kumar makes sad psych-pop for sitting in your room on a rainy day. With assistance from a number of your local faves (Everyone is Dirty! Sucker Crush!), the album that houses “Moon-Crane,” Private Time, is already getting us excited about what 2020 holds for the Bay, musically speaking.

Private Time releases on January 17. If you’re still in town, catch Sun Kin at the Golden Bull tomorrow night.
