Julia Holter adds SF date to ‘Aviary’ tour with Ana Roxanne

Julia Holter has announced some additional tour dates in support of her latest album Aviary. She is touring with her six-piece band which includes Corey Fogel (percussion, vocals), Andrew Jones (bass), Dina Maccabee (violin/viola, vocals, electronics), Sarah Belle Reid (trumpet, flugelhorn, electronics), and Tashi Wada (bagpipe, synth). Following a debut Southwestern tour, Julia Holter’s ensemble will perform at the Chapel in San Francisco on August 2, with support from Ana Roxanne.

Julia Holter’s critically-acclaimed fifth album Aviary was released via Domino last October, with songs like “I Shall Love 2” and “Les Jeux to You” (watch the video below) still resonating. The celebrated composer recently participated in an AMA on Reddit, answering questions for fans. Holter, who has previously performed at the Chapel with Circuit de Yeux, will return this Friday for an always welcomed performance.
