KALX, Berkeley’s community radio station, is presenting a showcase of local and regional artists with a shared indie and punk ethos.

Founded in 2017, the annual event benefits West Oakland Punks with Lunch, a DIY non-profit outreach organization providing food and other necessities to West Oakland’s homeless community.

Joining the ranks to provide grooves for a purpose are Los Angeles-based French Vanilla, Oakland’s Midnite Snaxxx, Bam! Bam! and the World, as well as an array of artists from across the state.

Oakland Popfest will be held this year at Ivy Room in Albany on Saturday, January 26.
