San Francisco-based indie space-pop band the Y Axes recently released a lively pop-punk single, “Empty Space” that will encourage you to bring your friends together for a late-night living room dance party. “Empty Space” is the first candy-coated taste from their forthcoming LP, No Waves, which will be available early next year.

Seven years ago, the Y Axes formed at a space-prom themed birthday party, and in their video for “Empty Space” they’ve brought this theme around full-circle, even spiking the party punch with their seemingly lighthearted, though deeply-felt, music to encourage the crowd to release and dance.

Check the video out here and catch them at the Independent next month.
