A few years ago, Starover Blue, like so many bands before them, packed up and relocated to the PNW. Now on tour to support an upcoming full-length, the band will be back in the Bay, playing shows in San Francisco and their hometown of San Jose next week.
A little more upbeat than previous releases, the new album leans into ’80s hallmarks like synths, layered vocals, and electronic drums. For the upcoming tour, which runs through the western US, central members Dirk Miltoz and Kendall Sallay will be joined by original drummer Jerald Bittle.
At the Art Boutiki show, they’ll play with San Joseans Cola and Dokoe for a full slate of West Coast dream-pop. Both shows, it’s worth noting, are only $10 entry. More details below.
