Sam Bush bluegrassed his way through an outstanding set at SFJAZZ Sunday night. Bringing his speed-demon fast fingers to the mandolin and fiddle, Bush and his band of merry musicians got the crowd moving with their high-energy shreds and sways.

With super-special guest Peter Rowan riding in on his trusty guitar, halfway through the set for a couple of tunes, the show kept getting better and better. Peter Rowan returned for the encore, adding the sweetest cherry to the top of one satisfying show.

T Sisters, having supported Indigo Girls a few months back and fresh from the trails of Oregon Country Fayre, opened with a jaw-dropping acappella so beautiful it hushed the audience into a present silence.
