Mission dwellers, mark your calendars for August 18 for the return of Noise Pop’s 20th Street Block Party.

This annual event is one of the ultra-local highlights of San Francisco summer, taking place on the stretch of 20th Street between Harrison and Bryant. From 11am to 6pm, a wide range of musical acts, food vendors, and more will set up shop — previous acts include Chicano Batman, Neon Indian, and Mac DeMarco, and food options have included local favorites like Alicia’s Tamales Los Mayas, Frozen Kuhsterd, and Flour + Water.

No announcement yet of this year’s lineup, but we’ll let you know when we hear something. As always it’s free to attend, and proceeds benfit Mission Language Vocational School.
