After taking 2017 off, the Bay’s beloved Treasure Island Music Festival just announced its return for the fall of this year.
Due to development and construction surrounding the festival’s namesake home of Treasure Island, the festival, founded in 2006, was forced to take last year off and hunt for a new location — ideally one that still featured the sweeping views and sense of isolation the former site was known for. This year, they found it in new venue Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, which made its festival debut this weekend when it hosted Blurry Vision. Though the new location is miles removed and an entire county away from the old one, transportation options from SF and surrounding areas remain ample and accessible.
No acts announced yet, but it’s scheduled for October 13 and 14, 2018. Watch this blog for forthcoming details on artists, vendors, tickets, and more.
