It’s that time again…time to get ready for 2018’s Southside Festival.
Now in its second year, Southside Festival is a free festival taking place in San Francisco’s Bayview district. Southside’s lineup focuses on local, independent musicians (just like we do!), and seeks to bring SF residents out to the Bayview district of San Francisco and expose them to the artists right in their backyard.
The festival is a joint project between The Bay Bridged and Imprint.City, an organization devoted to bringing educational and economic opportunities to the Bayview and other underserved areas of San Francisco. Imprint.City’s goal is simple, and very close to ours: When art comes to town, everyone wins. By bringing events like these to more residential and industrial areas of the city, less-traveled areas of San Francisco will see a spike in foot traffic, and hopefully keep people coming back.
So bring yourself to the Bayview on May 19. This year’s festival takes place in Laughing Monk Brewing and Seven Stills Distillery on Egbert Avenue. Acts include locals Zion-I, Beejus, Down 2 Earth, Just Rese, FELA KUTCHII, DevaRock, Quijano, and J Jaxx. Watch this space for more details in the coming weeks. For now, RSVP here.
