San Francisco experimental group Sis has debuted their new single, “My King Plays Bowie,” ahead of their show at Bottom of the Hill tomorrow. That all-local concert also features Oakland’s Everyone is Dirty and Berkeley’s Firemaid

Sis describes itself as a serendipitous, scary and smooth combustion between its various members that “set up shop squarely in the realms of full-hearted poeticism, formulating powerful images focused around feelings over themes, poetry over experience, and experimentation over genre.” “My King Plays Bowie” will be part of their forthcoming LP, Euphorbia, which is looking to be released in the summer through the Native Cat Recordings label.

According to lead singer/lyricist Jenny Gillespie Mason: “I really enjoy infusing the lyrics with weirdness. Interesting images, weird turns of phrase, or beautiful strange sounds coming together that you’d never have thought of before.”
