LIGHTS at The Fillmore, by Robert Alleyne

LIGHTS shone brightly during her show at the Fillmore — the fourth stop of her North American We Were Here tour.

From the soft acoustic rendition of “February Air” to an explosive version of “Kicks” (complete with visuals of Chun Li demolishing Guile in a Street Fighter bout), the show felt bigger than the size of the venue it was housed within. The crowd-pleasing set saw the Canadian musician generate much arm waving and crowd jumping exuberance from those in attendance as it drew from across her musical catalog.

Opening the night were Canadian solo artist DCF, and Australian band Chase Atlantic. DCF, wearing a Viva-la-Vida-era Coldplay-esque jacket (which he teased was not part of his usual wardrobe), and Chase Atlantic appearing to melt hearts and win a few fans along the way. Check out the gallery below for a taste of the night that was.
