That gum you like is going to come back in style! This Saturday night, it’s time to head on down to the Roadhouse — I mean the Chapel — for a special night celebrating The Music of Twin Peaks. Presented by SF Sketchfest, the event is separate from the SF Sketchfest Tribute to Twin Peaks, which will now feature Mädchen Amick and Chrysta Bell in addition to the previously announced cast members. Matthew Lillard is no longer scheduled to appear at the Q&A tribute event, which takes place at 4pm on Saturday, January 13 at Castro Theatre.

The Music of Twin Peaks showcase will also take place this Saturday, starting at 9pm at the Chapel. And no, we’re almost certainly not getting David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti, Julee Cruise, or Chromatics in the flesh. Instead, Twin Peaks fans are invited to celebrate the show’s iconic musical pieces with The Red Room Orchestra, a talented group of (mostly) local musicians and singers including Tom Ayres, Allyson Baker (Dirty Ghosts), Marc Capelle, Toby Dammit, Karina Denike, Tom Griesser, Dina Maccabee, Karla Milosevich, and Todd Roper. Expect to hear some live renditions of Badalamenti’s classic score, and other music from or inspired by the landmark television series and film. DJ Omar will keep the party going during set changes.

Saturday night’s show also promises guest appearances by Twin Peaks cast members. I’d bet on seeing a few of the same faces from the Tribute to Twin Peaks panel at Castro Theatre, and maybe a few surprises if we’re lucky. Fans are also encouraged to dress up as their favorite Twin Peaks characters and participate in the official Audrey Dance Contest. Isn’t it too dreamy? The all ages show will be $30 at the door, with doors opening at 8pm and music starting at 9pm. Let’s rock!
