Ukrainian quartet DakhaBrakha wooed and wowed SFJAZZ Wednesday night with a stellar performance. Taking the audience on a riveting adventure with accordion, percussion, cello and drums, DakhaBrakha offered reflection and action with soul-satisfying, folk-feel-good, world music. Add to the mix, extraordinary vocal ranges and chin-to-ground, bird twerp-tweeting sounds from mouth, the show was sweet. DakhaBrakha offered tenderness and toughness, raising temperatures and tempos with a thunderous array of musical versatility before leaving the crowd satisfied with a crescendo of a soul climax.
