Andrew Bird experimental rocked while psych-folking SFJAZZ Wednesday night, opening with a backdrop video of Utah mountain scenery from his Echolocations project. His latest album offering, Echolocations: River, is the second of a five-part album series with Echolocations: Canyon preceding it in 2015

After the first four songs, which Bird performed solo, he was joined by his band. An outstanding two hour show unfolded, offering up tunes delightful and diverse.
