MVMF Music Presents Grammy Award winner Sarah Jarosz at Sweetwater Music Hall on Monday. The night was filled with folk at its finest with Sarah Jarosz playing songs from her four-album catalog of excellence. Having been nominated for many awards starting in 2009, Sarah Jarosz won an Grammy Award this year for Best Folk Album; the 2016 release Undercurrent, as well as Best American Roots Performance for “House of Mercy.”

Playing guitar, banjo, and mandolin, Sarah Jarosz has a versatility and vitality, and when mixed with her lyrical storytelling, it’s untouchable. A super-sweet mandolin-bluegrass version of Prince’s “When Doves Cry” was thrown in for the night’s delights, which worked tremendously.
