Pinegrove is leading a stellar lineup at Slim’s this Wednesday, with Lomelda and Florist supporting the New Jersey headliner at the sold-out show.
Pinegrove, led by Evan Stephens Hall on guitar and vocals, released its second album Cardinal (listen below) in June 2016, following up with a collection of live recordings on Elsewhere in January 2017. To hear a few songs from the albums and get a feel for the band’s live dynamic, check out Pinegrove’s Tiny Desk Concert with NPR.
Pinegrove recently took to Twitter to explain how “actively disrespectful” it is to talk over the carefully selected opening acts who are performing quiet, “emotionally dense” music, and frankly, I couldn’t agree more. If you get there early, please be sure to lend your undivided attention to Florist and Lomelda, who have both released new albums very recently. Click the tweet below to expand the enlightening thread.
we wanna remind people coming to our shows that we curate the support for each of our concerts

Florist released If Blue Could Be Happiness in September via Double Double Whammy. Florist also recently performed a Tiny Desk Concert with NPR.
Lomelda, one of Texas’ best kept secrets until recently, will make her San Francisco debut at Slim’s this Wednesday. Also released via Double Double Whammy in September, Thx is a deeply emotional folk album and a highlight of the summer. Take a listen below, then catch all three acts at Slim’s tomorrow.
