Fans of acoustic guitars, thoughtful lyrics, and gentle (and sometimes not-so-gentle) melodies, listen up: We’re co-presenting 2017’s Fog City Fest, and, not that we’re biased, but we think it’s more than worth venturing out to the Richmond for.
Spanning three nights in November, this year’s Fog City Festival lineup reads like a veritable who’s-who of the Bay’s singer-songwriter scene. Included are names like M. Lockwood Porter, Avi Vinocur, Lauren O’Connell, Jeremy Lyon, DonCat, and way, way more — a large percentage of them have graced these very pages several times over. Fog City Songwriters, organized by Hayes Life Presents, is a performance series that exists to strengthen the city’s singer-songwriter community. For the last three years, Fog City Fest has brought together a small army of the Bay’s singer-songwriter talent into one tour de force festival, and this year, we’ve put our stamp of approval on it.
Take a look at some videos and audio from Fog City artists that we’ve previously featured on the site. You can RSVP to one or all of the shows and find out more about the performers here, here, and here. Take your pick from tickets at Neck of the Woods’ calendar. Single-night tickets are $15, or buy the full suite for just $30.
Fog City Fest will also benefit for La Casa de las Madres, a local organization that provides 24/7 service to victims of domestic violence.
