Be Steadwell performed a stellar show at the Back Room last week with a little help from her musical friends. Looping and harmonizing, Be Steadwell spun stories poignant, humorous, and tender through lyrical delights. Accompanied by beautiful cajón beats, mighty wails, piano meltdowns, and gentle guitar finger strums, Be Steadwell and her friends enticed and entertained all night long.

To end the night, Be Steadwell led an audience interaction exercise. The crowd formed a circle in the intimate venue and listened to one another’s musical offerings — a hum, whistle, click, stomp, beat, whichever surfaced. The now-circled crowd who contributed sound through an organic collaboration created connection and a whole heap of satisfaction.
