Ziek McCarter is a high energy ball of fire. Each member in the seven-piece band that is Con Brio had a turn showing off their skills on their instruments at SFJAZZ Sunday night, June 18, 2017. They were all high energy, playing plenty of songs off their 2016 album Paradise and some new ones as well. One notable song started with his description of losing his father (shot six years ago by law enforcement in Texas) and the place was silent in respect.
