Since 2014, the Seattle rock band Great Grandpa have been slowly gaining a wide a loyal following. After releasing their well-received EP Can Opener, they began an extensive tour of the West Coast, along with their usual Seattle DIY venues.

Now with a lot of experience and writing under their belt, they are set to release their debut album Plastic Cough on Double Double Whammy, out on July 7. Most recently they released a single from the album entitled “Expert Eraser.” This new track shows their strong grunge influence, while adding their interest in pop leaning melodies and production. The noisy guitars lay a powerful foundation for the complex drumming and soaring vocals. They play Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on July 18.
