Jesse Colin Young performed a stellar, sold-out show at Yoshi’s Friday night, bringing down the house with his versatile vocal range, dynamic Boston-based band and his sweet, smooth style. Political messages and romantic stories held much of the lyrical focus entwined with a contagious rhythm and blues folk-rocking vibration, which rippled through the jazz bar and into the crowd.
