The Berkeley duo Bows are back with new music following up last year’s The Day We Left.. Bows, which is the combined force of Kaila McIntyre-Bader and Luke Baće, have released their third collection of songs. The two former Big Tree bandmates kicked off the new project with a sizeable earworm in “Everywhere” from their first release of the same name in 2015. 2016 had Bows aim slightly higher with their full length release: A post-apocalyptic sci-fi concept album.

The iMe EP continues the pair’s “living room pop” with four new songs including “Stars & Skies” which will easily zero in on the ears on fans the likes of Rubblebucket, the Blow, and Sylvan Esso. Just like the EP’s predecessors, the music was recorded in their East Bay home in the sanctity of pajamas. If the music making wardrobe is directly related to the feel good indie pop that it’s attached to it may lead to the most comfortable recording superstition.

Kaila touched on the set’s single which barrels forward with Black Keys style guitar momentum; “In these #selfie driven times of cultural and political degradation, this song aims to project an optimistic narrative, floating the listener beyond the noise and toward the possibility.” You can grab up the EP on Bandcamp now.
