The SoCal daytime disco duo Poolside, made up of former Denmark and San Francisco residents Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise, are gearing up for a party at Public Works in SF on Saturday, June 10.
With a brand new album slated for release this summer, the duo’s upcoming DJ set should feature many new remixes and Poolside originals for the first time. These days, Poolside is a high-demand act worldwide, and is incredibly selective about where, when and how often they will perform. This weekend’s SF set precedes a handful of upcoming festival dates, capped by a September headlining performance at Luna Light Festival, an East Coast festival in Darlington, Maryland.
After their debut album Pacific Standard Time cannonballed into the electronic music scene in 2012, the duo hasn’t released much new music. Last summer they released a new mixtape, which included a brand new track from the upcoming and as of yet untitled album. The song is called “And The Sea,” though, and you can check it out below:
Public Works’ very own Peter Blick will fire the night off ahead of Papa Lu, Cooper Saver and Poolside. The evening is billed to last until 3:30AM, so if you decide to turn out, make sure you turn up and fully indulge in the Funktion One Sound setup of the venue’s main room.
