If you are looking for an all around audible, visual and ethereal musical experience, don’t miss the 60’s soul and pop vibe of Boston based four piece Lake Street Dive in Oakland on Saturday, March 18.

Led by the high-powered vocal prowess of Rachel Price, the band commands the crowd’s attention and in 2014 were named by Rolling Stone as one of the top ten bands to watch out for.

Joining Price on stage are bandmates Mike Calabrese on drums, Bridget Kearny on stand-up bass and Mike “McDuck” Olsen on guitar and trumpet. They originally formed in 2004 with a free flowing jazz-like take on country before they naturally gravitated toward pop songs.

In 2012 the band decided to work toward expanding their reach and sound, resulting in their fourth studio album Bad Self Portraits. Due to an existing contract between Price and another label, however, the release was delayed until early 2014.

Early 2016 saw their fifth and most recent full length record Side Pony take them to new extremes: The album debuted at number one on three Billboard charts and number 11 on Top Album Sales, with 16,000 copies sold in the first week.
