Weyes Blood (aka Natalie Mering) is on tour in support of her new LP, Front Row Seat To Earth. She will headline a Noise Pop Festival show on February 21 at Swedish American Hall with support from Half Waif, 20 Minute Loop, and Young Moon. Weyes Blood has also just released a collaborative EP with Ariel Pink. Presented by Marfa Myths, Myths 002 was released on January 27. Natalie Mering is front and center on “Daddy, Please Give A Little Time To Me” and “Morning After,” with Ariel Pink taking the lead on “Tears of Fire” (listen below).
Half Waif is the exciting Brooklyn-based synth-pop project of Nandi Rose Plunkett. Now joined by Zack Levine and Adan Carlo, Half Waif’s latest EP form/a is set for release on February 24, via Cascine. “Severed Logic” is the first track from the EP. Stream it below:
San Francisco’s 20 Minute Loop is celebrating its 20th year as a band with the release of its first album in eight years, Songs Praising The Mutant Race. Young Moon, the project of Trevor Montgomery (formerly of Lazarus and San Francisco’s Tarentel), will open the Noise Pop show at Swedish American Hall on Tuesday, February 21.
