New York duo Diet Cig have released the first single from their recently announced debut LP. Following 2015’s Over Easy EP and Sleep Talk/Dinner Date 7-inch (both out now on Father/Daughter Records), Swear I’m Good At This is due for release on April 7 via Frenchkiss Records. All 300 of the limited edition metallic gold vinyl records have sold out, but plenty of other versions, including the Lucky Star Blue vinyl 12-inch, are available for pre-order from Bandcamp. Listen to “Tummy Ache” below.
Diet Cig’s world tour officially kicks off on April 5 in New Haven, Connecticut and continues through May 8 at The Catalyst Atrium in Santa Cruz. Before heading out on the April tour in support of their album release, Diet Cig will headline a Noise Pop gig on February 22 at Brick & Mortar Music Hall with Plush, joyride!, and Shutups.
Diet Cig is Alex Luciano up front on guitar and vocals, with Noah Bowman on drums. The unstoppable pop-punk duo has been lighting up rock venues with their bright, infectious style that always packs an angsty, sarcastic punch under the bubbly surface. If for some reason you’ve been sleeping this band, now’s the time to wake up.
