Midge Ure sythn-pop-rocked the Social Hall SF on Wednesday night with a jam-packed show of old and new songs, spanning more than three decades.

A talented multi-instrumentalist and writer, Midge Ure was a busy bee in the 80s, penning songs and performing as Visage, Ultravox, and with Thin Lizzy simultaneously before flying solo. He co-wrote “Do They Know It’s Christmas” for Band Aid with Bob Geldof, and turned down being lead singer of The Sex Pistols.

Enjoyed by the crowd, Midge Ure shared comical stories between songs which ranged from the Ultravox days to his solo offerings. All in all, it was fun show from a glowing performer.
