Monday, November 28

Daughter, Vancouver Sleep Clinic @ Rickshaw Stop
Expect “some of the most cooing, comforting melodies you’ll ever hear,

[but] don’t expect to take a nap,” according to Jody Amable’s glowing show preview. Link above.

YG, Kamaiyah, RJ, Sad Boy @ Fox Theater
The Fuck Donald Trump Tour is back for a second Bay Area night due to popular demand, and it’s already sold-out. If you were there for the rain-soaked confusion, Kamaiyah is the Oakland rapper who saved this year’s Treasure Island Music Festival.

Tuesday, November 29

The Bay Bridged Giving Tuesday @ Standard Deviant Brewing
Ok yeah, we may be biased, but this one is a can’t-miss Tuesday event. And if you’re reading (and hopefully enjoying) this post, why not have fun at our fundraiser? One of our favorites, M. Lockwood Porter, will be playing a stripped-down set.

Thee Oh Sees, Alex Cameron, Peacers @ The Chapel
There’s a reason why Thee Oh Sees can play multiple nights in a row at The Chapel, and quickly sell-out. The garage-punk titans released two new albums this year, so expect to mosh to some new songs.

The She’s, Babewatch, Jerks @ Bottom of the Hill
Somehow, The She’s five year anniversary of their album, Then It Starts To Feel Like Summer, is upon us. And don’t miss out on Oakland surf-rock Babewatch beforehand!

James Vincent McMorrow @ The UC Theatre
Traveling internationally from Ireland, James Vincent McMorrow fuses folk, hi-fi synth, and vocal emotional depth.

Wednesday, November 30

The Naked and Famous @ Fox Theater
These New Zealanders are heavy-weights for aughts indie rock, and still seem to be headlining bigger and bigger venues with each successive stop in the Bay.

Thee Oh Sees, Alex Cameron @ The Chapel
The first time I saw Thee Oh Sees they were playing to a dirt pit of flailing humans at FYF in Los Angeles. The clouds of dust choked my esophagus and nostrils and I lost my voice for three days, but it was completely worth it.

A John Waters Christmas @ Great American Music Hall
This one is more stand-up comedy than a music show per se, but DJ Omar Perez will be in attendance to provide musical acccoutrement for the “Pope of Trash.”

Thursday, December 1

Body Language, Sumif @ Swedish American Music Hall
Body Language is an alternative electronic outfit who have toured with Rubblebucket, and whose members are also a part of Vacationer.

Dot Com, Cesar Ruiz, Big Thursday, Jasom Derulo @ Different Fur Studios
LMSFN and Abuela’s Pantry (a radio show on BFF.FM hosted by Erika Delgado, one of our writers) is putting on yet another pay-what-you-can show at the Different Fur Studios. The twist for this one is that you have to donate a can of food for entry, and proceeds from the bake sale will go to one or all of these organizations:

La Casa De Las Madres
St. James Infirmary
Cesar Ruiz’s Tour Gas Fund

Cave Clove @ Starline Social Club
Come out and celebrate East Bay band Cave Clove’s album release show.

Mr. Little Jeans @ Slim’s
Alums of the Phono del Sol headliners gang, Mr. Little Jeans is a Norwegian singer-songwriter with amorphous melodies that billow and linger.
