This weekend, Bayview residents will get their very own music festival: BayviewLIVE, a celebration of one of San Francisco’s most overlooked, but no less important, neighborhoods.
In its first year ever, BayviewLIVE is going big: featuring names like Equipto, DJ Future, and — drumroll please — Jidenna, BayviewLIVE will bring attention — and attendees — out to Egbert Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares through the Bayview-Hunters Point area. Though it’s largely industrial, Bayview is home to businesses and residents that keep the city running.
Presented by Imprint.City, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing educational and economic opportunities to SF’s less-traveled neighborhoods, and backed by a ton of noble sponsors (KQED, Spotify, um, The Bay Bridged), BayviewLIVE will feature other festival attractions like food trucks, live painting, and diversions for kids. It starts at noon and is easily accessible via the T line. And it’s free! See you there.
