In Live This Month, we sample some of the great local and out-of-town bands performing in the coming month in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This episode kicks off with a song from Tycho, one of many great acts performing at the 2016 Treasure Island Music Festival. From Saturday opener Kamaiyah through Sunday closer Sigur Rós, both days are stacked at the tenth installment of one of our favorite annual events. The fact that this year’s fest will be the last go-round to occur on the island just underscores the fact that Treasure Island 2016 can’t be missed.
Tycho is just one of seven local acts to be featured in this month’s mix, which also includes new and recent selections from Super Unison, Chasms, Elujay, Tino Drima, Tanukichan, and Terry Malts. In the podcast, we also highlight some notable touring acts coming to SF, including the renamed Preoccupations, Flock of Dimes (aka Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak), and a killer new slice of electronic pop from Machinedrum.
Enjoy the podcast and then go see some concerts!
