Oakland’s Glenn Jackson of James & Evander and solo producer fame has teamed up with Dwight and Liz Pavlovic of Crash Symbols to start Easy Bay Tapes, a brand new label specializing in house, disco, and boogie type sounds. A new compilation is available to download via Bandcamp (stream it below), with physical tapes also available for sale. The Easy Bay Tape Release Show will feature live appearances by E. Live, Exray’s, Glenn Jackson, and Naytronix on September 9 at The Night Light in Oakland.

The inaugural compilation features a collection of hot and steamy analog dance tracks from local artists such as Exray’s, Glenn Jackson, E. Live, Cherushii, North County, Boogie Butter, Bozak, and VVD WNDWS, plus Atlanta’s Buscrates, Ajukaja, Bauchamp, New York’s Cream Dream, Lunate, Florida’s 1-800-Dog-Cigs, Kobster, Yalls, and The Person. The compilation was mastered by Matt Tammariello of Shortcircles, who will also DJ the upcoming tape release party. The album artwork and Easy Bay logo were both designed by Liz Pavlovic. RSVP for Oakland’s Easy Bay tape release party via Facebook.
