As frequently as San Francisco-based beat maker Giraffage has thrown us remixes and collaborations to keep our hunger at bay, it’s been a long time since we’ve heard a stand-alone original. His new single, released on Fool’s Gold, picks back up since 2014’s No Reason EP. The shimmering synths on “Bring Me Your Love” are paired up with Thea on vocals.

As usual, the new track is prime material to soundtrack any dream where you find yourself with the ability to fly or casually lounge about in the clouds. Fans of the recent records from Porter Robinson or Madeon may appreciate the winding glitchy course guided by the instant flute. Then, of course, we have Thea summoning some real Janet Jackson powers. It’s highly unlikely making relaxed electronic music still danceable is easy but the continued track record of Giraffage severely disagrees yet again.

Want to see Giraffage in the real world? The Bring Me Your Love tour kicks off in September with a perfectly timed hometown show with XXYYXX not long after in late October. Mezzanine hosts a Halloween show with the two producers in control of the night. I will be severely disappointed if the majority of the crowd isn’t decked out as your favorite long-necked vegetarian or your choice of chromosomes.
