Get ready: Next week, Phish fans will flood the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco for three weeknights in a row. Starting next Monday, July 18, and repeating through Wednesday the 20th, the band from Vermont will return for their fourth three-night takeover of the Bill Graham, after skipping San Francisco all together last year (they played one show at Shoreline instead).
Helping ensure that wild music and good times are spread throughout the city is The Boom Boom Room, who will be hosting official after parties each night, loaded with eccentric funk acts Kitchen Dwellers, Yak Attack and Sun Hop Fat on the 18th, 19th, and 20th, respectively.
For the first time since being organized in 2004, Phish-centric art showcase PhanArt will appear on the West Coast. From noon to 5pm on Tuesday the 19th, PhanArt will take over the Mezzanine, only a few blocks from the auditorium. The PhanArt show has operated in conjunction with Phish shows around the country to feature more than a dozen artists and vendors exhibiting a wide variety of unique and Phish-inspired creations including posters, books, pins, glasswork, jewelry, clothing, and much more. Admission into the Mezzanine is free, but limited to phans aged 21 years and older.
