Remember when Thee Oh Sees played that three-night residency at The Chapel last summer? Now you can finally bring the band’s notoriously energetic live experience home with you thanks to the latest release from Castle Face RecordsLive in San Francisco series, which captures audio and video from the band’s 2015 stint in The Mission. Previous installments from the series include live recordings from Ty Segall, White Fence, Icky Boyfriends and more.

Thee Oh Sees – Live in San Francisco commemorates the band’s triumphant return to their old stomping grounds with a double gatefold LP, plus a bonus DVD with live video directed by Brian Lee Hughes and edited by Casey Anderson. According to Castle Face, the limited “Ultra Clear Editions come with a flexi of a brand new song.” The double LP is set for official release on July 1. Stream the live version of “Web” below.

Oh yeah, and of course Thee Oh Sees have another fucking studio album on the way in addition to the live one. A Weird Exits is scheduled for a August 12 release via Castle Face. Following last year’s Mutilator Defeated at Last, the band’s latest studio release finds John Dwyer and Tim Hellman joined by drummers Ryan Moutinho and Dan Rincon. Thee Oh Sees have shared “Plastic Plant” ahead of the LP’s official release, which you can stream over at Pitchfork.

If Thee Oh Sees have successfully primed your palate for another chance to see them live, you can catch them perform at Burger Boogaloo 2016 on June 25 at Mosswood Park in Oakland.
