On June 9, 2016, The Mowgli’s headline their tour at The Independent in San Francisco. They brought along The Greeting Committee and Pom Poms to open up their show. When Pom Poms went up on stage it seemed as though they were going to be this very mellow band with an eerie tone to them. However, once the rest of the band joined the stage, they were this band that you could jump around and dance to. They have a folk vibe but with a very pop upbeat twist to their sound.

The Mowgli’s is a six piece band from Los Angeles, California. As soon as they got on stage the crowd was engaged and you could feel their energy throughout the venue. For the very fitting time of year, with it being summer, the band breaks out into their song “Summertime” and has the crowd dancing and singing. Their folk-pop twist makes their music very fun-filled and something anyone can really listen to. My personal favorite song they played live that night was “Through The Dark.” When they all sing the chorus together it mesmerizes you and makes their show that much better. Make sure to catch The Mowgli’s in a city near you and pick up their music!
