San Francisco’s own Andy Cabic will bring the folk-tinged blend of indie alternative tunes he calls Vetiver to the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens on Thursday, June 9.
The intimate setting inside the natural beauty of the garden’s Redwood Grove will provide a serene backdrop for the light tunes and heavy themes Vetiver tends to explore. The small garden show is the fist show since the band closed their spring tour at the Independent at the end of May. Check out this fan shot video of the tune “Down At El Rio” from that show at the Independent.
Although Thursday’s show is sold out, tickets are still available for the Huichica Festival at Gundlach Bundshcu Winery in Sonoma. Vetiver is a headliner, and with long-time collaborators Fruit Bats also on the bill, it would not be surprising to see the bands mixing line-ups.
