We’ve heard several songs from Not the 1’s off their forthcoming LP, and they seem to a have a pretty great formula: write rhymes that take great joy in boastfully talking trash and lay them over beats that combine big classic drum breaks with modern effects from a variety of talented producers.

Today, we’re giving you the first listen of their track “Not the Ones to be Gamed On” in which Mawnstr and Cuzzo D take great pride in not changing their ways to land a girl – how can one settle down when you’re “meeting ladies on the road stayin’ constantly laid”? The difficult-to-google Edison Victrola provides the beat, which pulls a perfect vocal sample from Showbiz & A.G. and some of those massive drums that Not the 1’s thankfully continue to employ.
