This Week In PR is a column curated by Victor Valle and Jody Amable, celebrating the press releases that caught our eye but we couldn’t use. Here are some highlights from our inboxes this week.

Weaves’ “Candy”
Maybe I’m just looking for them now, but I feel like my inbox has started to take on weekly themes. This week: weird. Brightly-colored and so, so weird. For example: Weaves‘ “Candy,” which bounces around in such a way that it doesn’t give your brain a chance to catch up. —JA

Gepe’s “Hambre”

Next up, the even weirder Gepe from Chile. Described in the subject line as the country’s “alt-pop superstar,” he delivered this crazy-ass video. The title of the song means “hunger,” if that helps anyone.

Gepe’s gonna be Brick & Mortar in May, if that interests you. —JA

Karen Meat’s “On The Couch”
This one’s a little weird, but mostly just plain fun. Reppin’ Des Moines, Iowa is Karen Meat, a glitchy pop band that’s able to layer really pleasing vocal melodies over tinkly computerized noises. —JA
