Oakland’s Wicked Man have seemed to be touring at a breakneck speed since we caught up with the band’s last EP in November and singer Yonatan Tietz announced his whimsical children’s project Yona Bird. Now back home, they’re getting ready to play one of their biggest hometown shows yet: as an opener for Imarhan (feat. members of Tinariwen) at the Great American Music Hall.

Wicked Man are masters of mood. Their music is hard to describe, but it’s easy to feel what they’re emulating. Smooth, mellow vibes are cushioned in reverb and piqued by melancholy. Think you have your finger on who they are? The band is offering a pair of tickets to their upcoming show for anyone who can name Yona’s favorite burrito. Instructions are below, where you can also enjoy their soulful, mid-tempo jam “Simple Pleasures.”

To enter for a chance to win tickets to see WICKED MAN at GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL, email wickedmanband@gmail.com with “WICKED MAN TICKET GIVEAWAY” in the subject line and your full name and answer to the trivia question in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.
