San Jose-based collective The Master has a new single out just in time to celebrate the end of 2015. Appropriately entitled “New Years,” it’s a perfect companion piece to the holiday standard “Auld Lang Syne,” combining both a tinge of lament over the passing of another year and a hopeful look towards the future. Featuring a captivating lead vocal, a soulful Stax-like arrangement, and a chorus that solicits a singalong, the song will go along just fine with your champagne and wine, a suitable soundtrack for the grand countdown to 2016.
Speaking of 2016, the band has big plans for the next 12 months. Another single is on the way, plus a full-length album. Happy new year indeed.
