If you’re interested in checking out some new sounds, two Bay Area artists are debuting live sets at Thee Parkside next week. On December 18, emerging projects Nude Photo and April will provide support for Solip and To The Wedding. Read on for a chance to win tickets to the show.
Nude Photo is a new project from Sky Madden of Chasms and Olivia Lee of There’s Talk. Nude Photo’s debut EP was produced by To The Wedding’s Lauren Grubb in Diamond Mountain, Calistoga. Grubb also mixed the forthcoming Chasms LP due in 2016. Nude Photo sets itself apart from Chasms by foregoing the drum machine to “push the boundaries of structure and control”, as Sky Madden puts it. Preview their demo below. Chasms’ Jess Labrador will DJ the event.
Get to Thee Parkside early to witness Nude Photo’s debut, and be sure to stick around for ambient upstart April, as well as established Bay Area shoegazers Solip and To The Wedding. You can buy advanced tickets online, and RSVP to the event via Facebook.
To enter for a chance to win tickets to see Solip, To The Wedding, April, and Nude Photo at Thee Parkside, email tim.draut@thebaybridged.com with “Solip” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.
