Max Savage Episode 3

After two triumphant installments, The Max Savage Show returns for “Episode 3: A Storm of Sword-Sharp Intellects” tomorrow night at the lovely Starline Social Club in Oakland. Joining max will be musical guests Waterstrider (plus an unnamed super secret musical guest!), weed expert David Downs, Avery Trufelman from design podcast 99% Invisible, followed by a DJ set from Astronauts, Etc. As if that wasn’t enough, all profits from the show go to Arts for Oakland Kids. Learn more here:

Max tells me he was inspired to start the show by an “amazing weirdo guy in Baltimore named Ed Schrader”, who staged a variety show of his own that was “ungrounded in reality” and featured “really strange shit”. As he had these ideas in his head, he met Ginger Fierstein, who has produced all three episodes of the Max Savage Show. Savage describes Fierstein as “one of the most alarmingly sweet and charming people to have graced this planet, and can get along with anyone.” Adding, “She’s like Drake’s soft side combined with Obama’s end-of-second-term ‘I’m actually going to do things now’ hustle.” Expect similar wonderful wordsmithing, talented and entertaining guests, and who knows what else tomorrow night. All for a great cause!

I think I’ve told you enough about the show to convince you to fork over the $10 for admission, which is a STEAL. Just in case I haven’t, Max, (who happens to be former contributor here at The Bay Bridged), is giving a pair of tickets to a lucky winner. Details below.

To enter for a chance to win tickets to see The Max Savage Show at Starline Social Club, email russell.jelinek@thebaybridged.com with “Savage” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.
