While Passion Pit may not be the first band you may think of when it comes to the annual fall holiday, it makes sense if you think about it.  Halloween in the modern age is a celebration of spookiness and fright just as much as it is an excuse to dress up like your favorite superhero or obscure indie rock God and party.

If the latter is what you’re in the mood for this Friday, then you may want to find your way to The Masonic to catch Passion Pit live in support of their third album, Kindred.  Having seen Passion Pit a few times, they’re one of my favorite live acts. Their music may deal with heartache and loss but the sound is always upbeat and energetic, where you’ll move your body no matter what mood you may be in. A personal highlight was seeing them at the 2012 Outside Lands, where they packed the Twin Peaks stage in the late afternoon like they were that night’s headliner.

It’s quite a lineup for their show this Friday at the gorgeous Masonic, in a night dubbed “Scream Scene 2015. The party starts early with doors opening at 5pm. Tickets are still on sale for this epic night terror, but if you’d like a chance to win two tickets then we have your hookup! For a refresh on Passion Pit, enjoy the first track off of their latest album, “Lifted Up (1985),” below.

To enter for a chance to win tickets to see Passion Pit at The Masonic on 10/30/15, email daniel.kielman@thebaybridged.com with “Passion Pit in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.
