New Orleans based post-punk band Heat Dust released their S/T debut LP on San Francisco’s best experi-metal label Flenser Records in late September. It’s another strong release by the now well-established and respected “dark imprint” label, which has released past records by Deafheaven, local Bay Area doom favorites King Woman, Wreck & Reference (formerly out of Sacramento), and Bosse-de-Nage.

To celebrate the release, Heat Dust are playing five shoes in the Bay. Yes, that’s correct and it’s actually six if you count Sacramento. Let me prove it to you:

10/25 Santa Rosa, CA – Matinee At Tba W/ Thou Solo Set
10/25 Berkeley, CA – 924 Gilman W/ Ragana, Thou And The Body Solo Sets
10/26 Santa Cruz, CA – Matinee At Cafe Pergolesi W/ Thou Solo Set
10/26 Oakland, CA – The Metro (630 3rd St.) W/ No Statik, Sbsm
10/27 Oakland, CA – Matinee At 1234go! Records W/ Thou Solo Set
10/27 Sacramento, CA – The Colony (3512 Stockton Blvd.) W/ Gehenna, Theories

If you want to see Heat Dust, you have no excuse for missing them. Plus, the Berkeley show includes Portland’s The Body — a terrific noise/sludge metal band who double as the world’s funniest misanthropes. Highly recommended.
