Sweden’s Makthaverskan bring their sound to San Francisco on their fall North American tour with a stop at Thee Parkside on Friday, October 2. Formed in 2009, Makthaverskan has come out with two full-length releases on Sweden’s Luxury Records. The band has since then encountered rising attention in the US, notably due to the band’s laudable female-lead vocals infused with a distinct pop and post-punk touch.
Featuring local acts Wild Moth and Never Young to open up the evening, the show offers a variety of up and coming artists not only from the other side of the pond but from the contemporary Bay Area community as well. San Francisco post-punk longtime locals Wild Moth have recently released their second LP Inhibitor this past August, while rising post-hardcore and noise rock act Never Young drops their new single “Stress Hed” in preparation for their sophomore effort out on Father/Daughter Records later this fall.
Purchase your tickets to the show in advance here and stream Never Young’s “Stress Hed” as well as “Buried” from Wild Moth’s Inhibitor below.
