Treasure Island Day Lineups

The venerable Treasure Island Music Festival is returning this October 17-18 for its ninth annual weekend. Hosts Another Planet Entertainment and Noise Pop officially announced the single day lineups today. As usual, the day lineups are broken down by genre. Saturday will feature primarily electronic acts with EDM powerhouse Deadmau5 headlining Saturday’s festivities while the dour rock of New York City-based The National will close out the weekend on Sunday.

In the meantime, a limited number of single day tickets will go on sale this Thursday.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17
Deadmau5 • FKA twigs • Azealia Banks • STS9 • Run The Jewels • Gorgon City (Live) • Hudson Mohawke • Cashmere Cat • Viceroy • Shamir • Baio • Bob Moses • Skylar Spence

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18
The National • Chvrches • The War On Drugs • Father John Misty • Panda Bear • Jose Gonzalez • Deerhunter • Drive Like Jehu • Lower Dens • Ex Hex • Mikal Cronin • Viet Cong • Ought

Saturday’s can’t miss acts include the up-and-coming-and-now-arrived experimental artist FKA twigs, the political hip hop duo Run The Jewels, and the sugary sweet pop music of Pitchfork favorite Shamir.

Sunday is all guitars. Don’t miss openers Ought, a Canadian four-piece who released one of our favorite songs in 2014 with “Habit” — it’s like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah woke up in 2014 after an existential nightmare soundtracked by Television, The Talking Heads, and some serious nervous energy. Plus, Bay Area favorite Mikal Cronin will return to the city that started his career after a recent move to Los Angeles.
