It seems Mad Alchemy, aka Lance Gordon and team, have their light-bending hands in all the psychedelic meanderings on the West Coast, and it’s not hard to see why. They’ve perfected a signature style of analog projections that leave artists drenched in liquid color, transforming any ordinary stage into a portal to celestial pastures.

Tomorrow, September 10, Mad Alchemy is bringing their overhead projectors to Leo’s, where a local lineup will power a psychedelic dance party. Oakland favorites Sugar Candy Mountain and Everyone is Dirty will set a rock and roll tone before soul outfit Harry & the Hitmen closes the night out with a set full of Motown and Stax classics. Bell bottoms, Future Eyes, and dancing shoes highly suggested.
