Local electronic psych-pop duo Painted Palms are hosting an album release show at Rickshaw Stop this Thursday in support of their second full-length LP, Horizons. The all ages event, presented by Different Fur Studios and Professional Fans, will also feature support from Meat Market and Antwon with Sad Andy. In other words, Bay Area, it’s time to fucking party, and we’ve got your tickets:

To enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Painted Palms at Rickshaw Stop, email contest@thebaybridged.com with “Painted Palms” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.

Past Phono del Sol veterans Painted Palms will likely be sharing danceable cuts from their upcoming sophomore release. The album, called Horizons, is set for a September 4 release on Polyvinyl. It’s the follow-up to last year’s Forever, with Christopher Prudhomme and Reese Donohue expanding upon their synth-based summertime style. Get a taste for what’s in store by previewing the duo’s new single “Refractor” (below).

Festival-approved tag team Antwon and Sad Andy will hit the stage for a fired-up set of contemporary West Coast hip-hop, always transferring an implied sense of punk-rock energy to the crowd. It’s been a little while since we’ve heard new material from either rapper, so I have a feeling they’ll have some surprises for us. Also I’m pretty sure somebody got punched in the face last time Antwon played Rickshaw, so… none of that, please!

Meat Market will kick off the show by serving up a set of hot n’ tasty Bay Area garage rock, so it wouldn’t hurt to arrive early. The San Francisco shindig kicks off Thursday around 8:30pm (doors at 8).
