The last time the Vaccines performed in San Francisco, it was to a packed house at the Fillmore. Their sophomore album, The Vaccines Come of Age, went on to sell more than 400,000 copies and the English quintet proved they were not another flash-in-the-pan buzz band. Since then, they have toured with the likes of Arcade Fire and the Rolling Stones.

Now they’re back with English Graffiti, their first album recorded in the U.S., and perhaps their most experimental work to date. Don’t worry, though. The buzzy guitar hooks and acerbic wit remains on the album’s 11 tracks. The Vaccines perform August 5 at Slim’s, and we have a pair of tickets to give away!
